Where to park

Parking in Oxford city centre is notoriously difficult and expensive. Because of the problems with the city centre parking, there will be some parking at Wolfson, with a minibus to bring people to St Aldate's. The minibus will be run on a first-come first-served basis, and will make its first run from 12 noon. The last run will be at 1.20pm. The minibus driver is one of our guests, so this will be the last run - if you miss the last minibus, walk up Linton Road all the way to Banbury road. Turn left and you should see a Bus Stop a short way down the road. Catch any bus into the City Centre, and then walk down the pedestrianised Cornmarket Street - continue straight on at the crossroads, and you will reach St Aldate's on your left. The porters in Wolfson College lodge should be able to help you arrange taxis if you would prefer.

The city council offers some advice and maps. For those who don't want to use either our unofficial "Park and Ride" or the official ones, we'd recommend parking at the Westgate Centre, as it's the closest car park to St Aldate's. However, be aware that it gets full on a Saturday - certainly by 2pm. If you do park at the Westgate, leave the car park at the shopping centre level, and walk round Sainsbury's to the rear exit. As you leave the shopping centre, you should see a church (this is St Ebbe's, not St Aldate's). Leave the square and walk down Pembroke Street, you should pass The Bleinheim public house, the Museum of Modern Art and the back entrance to Marks and Spencer. Continue down Pembroke Street until the end - the main road you've reached is known as St Aldate's, turn right and the church is about 50 yards down on your right.
